StorMagic has introduced a  range of SvSAN software-defined storage solutions, validated by Lenovo, for the UK.

Starting at ?4,500 and available across the three different base configuration groups, each solution sets new benchmarks for lean, low cost, high-performance and high-capacity software-defined storage. These will be made available through Exertis, one of the UK's most successful Value Added Distributors and a StorMagic Preferred Partner.

Each of the three base configuration groups represent a new stage in StorMagic's and Lenovo's close relationship, which began in 2015 and leverages Lenovo’s portfolio of enterprise servers. Each solution includes StorMagic’s SvSAN software-defined virtual storage platform, which eliminates downtime for critical applications and keeps business operations running smoothly.

“StorMagic and Lenovo have delivered on the promise of a simpler, leaner and highly-available IT infrastructure with these offering. We’ve significantly reduced the entry point for software-define storage solutions making it perfect for small IT environments”, said John Glendenning, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at StorMagic. “Combined with Exertis, we’re ideally placed to challenge the status quo of traditional server and storage solutions.”

“Lenovo is known for its innovation in the x86 server and storage markets and through our collaboration with StorMagic we will be able to bring the benefits of software-designed storage to an increased number of businesses” said Angelo Apa, Business Development & Technical Sales Director, Data Centre Group, Lenovo UK and Ireland. “StorMagic's SvSAN, in combination with our proven x86 systems, fulfils key requirements for today's IT managers and brings reliability, simplicity, scaleability and performance to the market at a highly competitive price point.”

“These new offerings are set to deliver data class performance levels to smaller companies with more modest budgets,” commented Gareth Bray, Head of Commercial – Enterprise, at Exertis. “We look forward to seeing the positive impact these solutions will have on our clients' businesses and already anticipate the key role they will play in driving Lenovo and StorMagic sales momentum in the UK.”
