Server virtualisation has greatly improved data centre operations throughout the last decade and now organisations want to extend these benefits further by proliferating virtualisation and a software driven approach to IT throughout their data centres. This approach provides improved operational agility and efficiency to handle the ever-increasing demands for pro-active and cost-efficient IT.

Fujitsu’s Integrated System PRIMEFLEX for VMware VSAN includes all of the best-of-breed components for a world-class hyper-converged solution; combining Compute, Network, Storage and Virtualisation resources.  It has been developed specifically for VMware VSAN, based on Fujitsu’s long-standing OEM partnership with VMware, meaning customers can be assured that their hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) is based on a truly optimised solution. Additionally, the PRIMEFLEX for VMware VSAN uniquely helps customers reduce server deployment times and the impact of planned outages with a flash module on the motherboard that reduces server boot time. According to VMware’s benchmark performance testing labs, the PRIMEFLEX for VMware VSAN is the fastest performing solution on the market.

Craig Parker, Head of Integrated Systems Business EMEIA, Fujitsu commented: “Hyperconverged systems deliver the ideal virtual infrastructure for the Software Defined Data Centre. These systems mitigate the risks involved when customers build their own environment, reducing time to production and ensuring that they have an expert-developed platform.

Our PRIMEFLEX for VMware VSAN solution represents an important step for Fujitsu in supporting our customers on their journeys to a Software Defined Data Centre and we are excited at the flexibility and agility it will provide.”
