WatchGuard Technologies has introduced  a new Technology Partner Program branded under its award-winning WatchGuardONE Partner Ecosystem. The Technology Partner Program recognises and supports industry-leading technology companies and new innovators that integrate their products with WatchGuard’s best-in-class network security solutions. Among the first to join the program are AlienVault and ManagedMethods.
Together with our Technology Partners, WatchGuard is delivering powerful network security solutions that enable businesses around the world to better protect their most important assets, said Ryan Orsi, WatchGuard director of strategic alliances. Our program provides tremendous value for companies that integrate with our products, and most importantly, our customers reap the benefits with more robust and easier-to-deploy solutions.
As a WatchGuardONE Technology Partner, companies receive technical, marketing, and sales support. The program offers three levels of partnership – Silver, Gold, and Platinum – to provide flexibility based on partner commitment. The AlienVault Unified Security Management (USM) platform provides a unified threat detection and compliance management solution that is both easy to use and affordable. An integration with WatchGuard’s Fireware® Operating System allows customers to collect and analyse network security log data for advanced threat detection.
AlienVault’s USM platform and WatchGuard’s approach to network security are highly complementary,” said Andy Johnson, VP of business development at AlienVault. “USM provides comprehensive security capabilities at an affordable price point, making it particularly well-suited for WatchGuard’s mid-market customers. We’re honoured to be able to partner with WatchGuard to make USM more accessible to this market.”
ManagedMethods is shining a light on the shadow IT problem by providing a cloud access security broker (CASB) solution that allows companies to easily monitor and control the use of cloud applications. WatchGuard Firebox® appliances integrate with the ManagedMethods Cloud Access Monitor (CAM) to help customers identify and block high-risk cloud application usage.
“Partnering with WatchGuard opens new avenues for ManagedMethods and provides our customers with a clear choice in Unified Threat Management,” said Charlie Sander, CEO of ManagedMethods. “We look forward to promoting our solutions alongside an industry leader in network security and building a trusted partnership for years to come.”
