Emerson Network Power enhances AC power portfolio

Latest additions to Trinergy Cube and Liebert® 80-eXL product families reflect insights gathered in its Customer Experience Centres.

Emerson Network Power has expanded its Trinergy Cube and Liebert 80-eXL product platforms, following extensive research with key customers at Emerson Network Power’s Customer Experience Centres.

The Trinergy Cube uninterruptible power supply (UPS) which has so far been distinguished for its modular, highly flexible power cores and unparalleled 98.5 percent operational efficiency, now boasts further capabilities, including 200 kW and 400 kW power cores for an increased capacity. These latest updates mean that the Trinergy Cube now provides the highest power density in the static UPS market along with true industry-leading performance. Likewise, the Liebert 80-eXL product family will see its range more than double over the next few months, and with the introduction of the 1200 kW rating this will become the first transformer-free monolithic UPS to provide up to 9.6 MW of power in a parallel system.

These innovations are partly the result of a deeper customer understanding gained at the Customer Experience Centre. These provide customers, consultants and data centre specialists with a witness testing area to experience the capabilities of Emerson Network Power technologies at peak conditions. So far Emerson Network Power has inaugurated four centres in less than two years across the globe, highlighting the company’s commitment to working closely with customers to address the increasingly complex nature of critical infrastructures.

Giordano Albertazzi, recently appointed president for Emerson Network Power in Europe, Middle East and Africa, commented: “Our Customer Experience Centres are becoming increasingly crucial in the ongoing development of our offering. These facilities bring us closer to our customers, allow us a deeper understanding of their needs and desires, and this ultimately results in a series of R&D and engineering efforts in response to those insights, such as these latest additions to the Liebert 80-eXL and Trinergy Cube portfolios. In fact, last year alone we engaged with more than 800 customers within our AC Power Customer Experience Centre in Bologna, Italy.”

Francisco Ramirez, site manager, Data Centre Services (DCS) at Colt Technology Services, commented: “It was fantastic to be given the opportunity to try out Emerson Network Power’s products before we made the decision to purchase. The Customer Experience Centre allowed us to see first-hand the options available and understand what would work best for our business. The witness test exceeded my expectations and was one of the key reasons why we chose Emerson Network Power as our partner.”
