Bitdefender has named industry veterans Vincent Schiavo and Harish Sunderam Agastya to key vice president positions in order to accelerate its rapid advance into the global enterprise market.

Vincent Schiavo, a 30-year industry veteran who oversaw the impressive growth of Secure Computing ahead of its takeover by McAfee, is now Senior Vice President of Worldwide Enterprise Sales and Marketing at Bitdefender. He will help translate the company’s technical superiority into a commanding position in global enterprise sales.

Harish Agastya brings a history of success in product and marketing leadership roles at Trend Micro, Dome9 and CloudPassage to his position as Vice President of Enterprise Solutions at Bitdefender. He will lead the Enterprise Product Management, Product Marketing, Services and Market/Competitive Intelligence teams.

As Bitdefender increasingly turns its talent and dedication to the enterprise market, the two newest leaders will bolster a staff that has leveraged the world’s most effective online security technology into a significant global presence in the enterprise market.

Vincent Schiavo and Harish Agastya will work from Bitdefender’s expanding office in Santa Clara, California moving toward Bitdefender’s immediate goal of undisputed dominance in the hybrid infrastructure security market and a leadership role in enterprise endpoint protection.

“Bitdefender’s innovation in security for large enterprises, along with our ‘Visionary’ positioning by Gartner, has helped double enterprise sales in 2015, and win the trust of clients seeking to secure hybrid infrastructure,” states Bogdan Irina, Chief Operating Officer at Bitdefender. “Recruiting new managers with solid experience, and development of the enterprise hub will accelerate Bitdefender’s growth in the market for large enterprise security.”

“As I take on my new role, I see an infectious enthusiasm and ambition throughout the company, inspired by a solid vision for the future,” says Vincent Schiavo. “Bitdefender’s impressive gains in the enterprise market in the last couple of years have been backed by even more impressive technological innovations. So we can expect a sustained and rapid advance in the sector.”

“Bitdefender is a name that instantly connotes quality in security circles worldwide,” states Harish Agastya. “It’s with great pleasure and pride that I take on a senior role in a company I have known and admired for some time. In the coming months and years, I am confident Bitdefender will be just as admired by large enterprises worldwide as it currently is by the IT security professionals who understand innovation and quality in the industry.”
