SevOne appoints Rafe Brown as Chief Financial Officer

SevOne has appointed Rafe Brown to the positions of Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Senior Vice President. Mr. Brown will report to Chief Executive Officer Jack Sweeney and will lead SevOne’s Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Facilities operations.

Mr. Brown arrives at SevOne with over 20 years of experience leading and consulting financial operations of high-growth, public companies. Prior to his new role, Mr. Brown served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, and Senior Vice President at Pegasystems, Inc., a publicly-traded, global business process management software provider. He was previously a Senior Vice President in the finance group at Salesforce.com, a leading provider of cloud computing software applications. Over the course of his nine years at Salesforce.com, Mr. Brown led the treasury and tax functions, real estate, and collections teams. Prior to Salesforce.com, he spent five yearsat Cisco Systems, preceded by his public accounting years at PwC and Arthur Andersen. He is a certified public accountant and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from Southern Utah University, along with a Master’s Degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.

Rafe’s appointment follows a successful year of company growth and investment. The company continued to enhance its solutions portfolio each quarter, secured a $50 million Series-C financing round led by Westfield Capital Management and Bain Capital Ventures in September, moved its corporate headquarters to Boston and opened up a 50,000-square foot Technology and Innovation Center on the University of Delaware’s Science, Technology & Advanced Research (STAR) Campus in Newark, Delaware in October.
