Meitav Dash, a leading investment management firm in Israel, has deployed InfiniBox™ to turbocharge the performance of its customer applications and current environment to better compete in the global marketplace. Before deploying InfiniBox, the firm’s mission-critical application processing would take several hours to complete. Now, these processes take only minutes, enabling the internal team to focus on more strategic tasks.

Meitav Dash’s philosophy of investment is based on innovative analysis, fundamental trading strategies, and long-term portfolio performance demanding consistency and expert capabilities. The firm shares a vision with INFINIDAT that is centered on reducing the risk, cost, and complexity of data accessibility to deliver long-term business results.

“Our application response times have improved by 200-300 percent, providing both our customers and our employees with a much better user experience,” said Gil Tsabar, CIO at Meitav Dash. “It is this user experience that helps us to grow customer and end-user loyalty.

Meitav Dash needed a faster, more robust storage solution that would enable employees to be more responsive to clients, provide greater uptime and consume dramatically less maintenance time than its previous storage system. The firm’s managers wanted their business information and analytics systems to give them results in the blink of an eye, while the day traders who leverage the firm’s services were continuously seeking faster ways to act on opportunities in the market to improve their bottom line.

“We needed to enable our systems to be more responsive so we could react more quickly to market opportunities and be more competitive,” said Tsabar. “We also needed to ensure consistent performance as we grow to maintain that competitive edge.”

Meitav Dash selected InfiniBox after looking at half a dozen storage solutions, including all-flash arrays and legacy storage systems. The firm’s main investment application uses the InfiniBox as the storage solution for its application servers and databases. When the firm first tested the InfiniBox for performance and ease of management, the systems team was amazed to find how fast it is and how easy it is to use. In addition, because datacentre power and space are at a premium, the ability to consolidate five to six racks of storage into one not only saved space and power, it enabled them to grow further without having to move to a new, costly datacentre.

“We realise more and more that we made the best decision to go with INFINIDAT. They have the knowledge and experience to build great systems,” said Tsabar. “We’ve increased speed and uptime while we’ve decreased maintenance and achieved greater scalability. Considering the cost per gigabyte and how that lowers your CAPEX, you can’t do better than INFINIDAT.”
