Glasswall Solutions is launching its patented technology into the market with the support of Sir Iain Lobban, former Director of GCHQ, and a host of the world’s leading information security experts.
Sir Iain, who moved on from GCHQ last year, is chairing Glasswall’s advisory council and joins prominent industry figures lending their expertise to the company as it undergoes rapid global growth.
The list of senior industry figures putting their weight behind Glasswall includes Steve Katz, the world’s first Chief Information Security Officer (Citigroup and JP Morgan)  – who joins the company as a Director – and council members Stan Black, Chief Security Officer at US software multi-national Citrix; Simon Church, Executive in Residence at C5 Capital, Europe’s first dedicated investor in the data and security sectors; and Dr Ken Urquhart, former Senior Director of innovation and user experience at Microsoft, now CTO of E-Cyber Technologies of Qatar where he is designing and building new cyber-security tools for the nation.
As part of its fast-track evolution, Glasswall, a privately-funded company, is on course to achieve a $20million round of fundraising without the need for venture capital investment.
“Working with Glasswall is a scintillating proposition – a pioneering UK company showing the world how to incorporate security into best business practice,” said Sir Iain. “The pedigree of my fellow advisory council members and Glasswall’s directors is outstanding. They are backing this innovative approach which simply transforms the paradigm, by demonstrating tangible business benefit through the delivery of assured and trusted files and data."
Greg Sim, Glasswall Solutions’ CEO, added: “We are honoured that Sir Iain will lend his expertise to Glasswall, as one of a group of extraordinarily talented and authoritative names in the industry that make up our very active board and advisory council.
“We have a very simple solution to a very complex problem. Glasswall removes the pain of controlling files entering and leaving the organisation, reducing the need to look at the endless array of reactive technologies that simply are not effective in identifying security threats. Our approach has involved huge R&D effort over a number of years to allow organisations to take control and implement best practice into their business.
“This is a mature technology that is part of a well-protected Global Patent portfolio and we are now being inundated with inquiries by companies desperate for Glasswall to bring them security, governance and compliance against the growing menace of cyber-crime.”
