TelecityGroup has announced the availability of Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute for Office 365 via the Cloud-IX platform. Customers can now establish direct connections between their own networks and Office 365 through the Cloud-IX ecosystem across a broad footprint in Europe, Middle East and African countries.
Cloud-IX, a software defined networking platform, enables TelecityGroup customers to access multiple cloud services, toolsets and solutions through a single, dedicated and cost-effective connection.
Ross Ortega, Principal Program Manager, Azure Networking, Microsoft comments: “We are excited about this next phase in our partnership with TelecityGroup. Cloud-IX is helping to deliver the speed and reliability to Office 365 customers so they can have an excellent end user experience with their productivity and collaboration applications. In addition, Office 365 customers benefit from predictable network performance and the ability to better manage network availability.”
James Tyler, Chief Commercial Officer, TelecityGroup commented: “Any innovation that enables better collaboration not only supports an improvement in the end user experience but drives even more innovation. This collaboration, enabled by Office 365 and Cloud-IX, is critical to the new revenue and product development initiatives of customers.”
The Cloud-IX ecosystem is made up of three types of resellers from telecom carriers to managed service providers and system integrators across the breadth of EMEA. Telecom carriers can offer secure reliable connections for all of their MPLS customers to Office 365 and Microsoft Azure services. System integrators will be able to bundle and integrate Microsoft Office 365 and Azure services on behalf of their customers, and managed service providers can add Office 365 and Azure services to the range of managed services they offer – enhancing their portfolio of services to their customers.
