Tripwire has launched a suite of new reporting and analytics applications for Tripwire® Enterprise, an industry-leading security and compliance management solution. Tripwire Apps allow users to improve workflow efficiency through integration with IT Service Management solutions. Current apps include: Tripwire Enterprise Integration Framework, Tripwire Enterprise Commander and Tripwire Event Sender.

“We continue to look for new ways to expand the strategic value of Tripwire Enterprise for our customers,” said Jeff Simon, vice president of professional services for Tripwire. “We are actively going beyond the typical API solution provided by other vendors and delivering tools that dramatically simplify integrations and help customers improve time-to-value.”

The Tripwire Enterprise Integration Framework app can reconcile observed changes against approved changes, enabling customers to promote those changes within Tripwire Enterprise. Users can also update the status of a change ticket in most IT Service Management (ITSM) systems, including:

BMC Remedy.
JIRA.
CA Service Desk.

The Tripwire Enterprise Commander app is a cross-platform, native command line interface that offers a consistent and reliable way to write a wide range of flexible, custom rules that can tailor the rich data provided by Tripwire Enterprise to a specific business problem or regulatory requirement.

The Tripwire Event Sender app allows users to track a wide range of policy and configuration changes in a format that security information and event management (SIEM) software products can process. Many changes of this type are not typically tracked by SIEMs, so the Event Sender app provides organizations with significantly greater visibility into the overall impact of day-to-day changes on security posture and audit readiness.

“Organizations need continuous visibility into the detailed state of their systems in order to protect them,” said Dwayne Melancon, chief technology officer and vice president of research and development for Tripwire. “Tripwire Apps enable automation, which is necessary to be able detect and respond quickly to a security event. Additionally, these apps make it possible to integrate seamlessly with other IT systems, particularly service desk and incident response solutions, resulting in dramatically improved workflow, precision accuracy and the delivery of actionable reporting.”
