Ceraolo has been appointed as Azlan’s Enterprise Server and Storage Business Development Manager. He brings more than 17 years of channel sales experience to the role – the last eight of which he has spent as an IBM Business Manager within Azlan and ISI Distribution (which was part of SDG) and reports directly to TD Azlan’s Director of Enterprise, Rob Tomlin.

The appointment follows a strong first period for the partnerships between Azlan and both Dell and Lenovo on server and storage solutions. Azlan entered into an agreement with Lenovo after the vendor completed its acquisition of IBM’s x86 server business at the start of the year. The agreement with Dell was announced in June, following the extension of the an European agreement between Tech Data and Dell on client solutions to the UK, and on the established partnerships between TD Azlan with both Dell SonicWALL and Dell Wyse in the UK.

Tomlin said: “Our partnerships with both Lenovo and Dell in the server and storage markets have got off to a really excellent start and we’re now investing more to provide additional focus and support to VARs. Mark has extensive experience in working with partners in the enterprise and the mid-markets and with a dedicated team and the extensive resources that we’re able to call on, I am confident that he can help us to grow our business and establish Azlan as the distribution partner of choice for partners on enterprise server and storage solutions.”

Commenting on his new role, Ceraolo stated: “We have already seen strong growth in both our Lenovo and Dell business and with the additional resources and investment now being made, and the extensive reach we have in the reseller channel, I’m very confident that we can build on that foundation and open up many new and exciting opportunities for our partners.”

Azlan has a recently increased the size of its dedicated server and storage team and is looking to drive new opportunities across its customer base. It is offering lead-generation and business development support and providing access to vendor partner programmes. It is also equipping its advanced Business Solution Centre (BSC) at Heathrow with the very latest Dell and Lenovo server and storage technologies. Partners can make use of the BSC to run demonstrations and proof-of-concept testing on advanced solutions in this unique resource, free of charge and with full support from Azlan’s own consultants.
