Datacentred storage integrates with Cloudberry Lab

Partnership provides DataCentred with white-label cloud-based backup and file management solutions which can be resold via managed service providers.

DataCentred's cloud object storage facility is now fully integrated with CloudBerry Managed Backup. The partnership will allow DataCentred to offer customers cloud-based backup and file management services under its own brand powered by Cloudberry Lab software.

Managed service providers (MSPs) will be able to resell DataCentred object storage as a cloud backup solution by connecting their DataCentred account to CloudBerry managed backup services. End users will be able to leverage their investment in object storage, making it considerably easier to manage the storage of data such as pictures, music and video files, which is driving the growth in internet data usage.

MSPs will benefit from greater control over pricing and the service plans they can provide their customers. MSPs will be able to manage and monitor accounts more efficiently, deliver remote access and offer multiple cloud storage options to customers, including Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Windows Azure, OpenStack and S3.

The CloudBerry Lab data is encrypted with a highly secure AES 256-bit strong key and supports DataCentred’s UK-based cloud offering.

Dr Mike Kelly, CEO and founder of DataCentred, said: “By connecting to DataCentred’s cloud object storage platform through CloudBerry Lab’s software, managed service providers will be able to offer object storage systems of the highest quality to their customers, allowing them to cost-effectively and securely manage their backup data.”
