Level 3 access for Volta customers

Global connectivity to Level 3 solutions such as Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Cloud Connect now possible.

Volta Data Centres, developer and operator of central London’s newest purpose-designed, carrier-neutral data centre, is providing its customers with access to Level 3 Communications’ global network solutions, including Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Cloud Connect. Companies that need to connect and share video or other content between London and the rest of the world stand to benefit from the collaboration.

As technology advances at fast speeds and the technology landscape becomes more complex, it is important for Volta to ensure it works with carriers offering premier services. Level 3’s CDN enables Volta’s customers to send media files faster by delivering data packets closer to end-user locations. Level 3 Cloud Connect provides customers with secure global connectivity to cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Jon Arnold, managing director, Volta Data Centres, explains: “It is great to be working with Level 3 and to offer our customers access to their global network solutions via our London data centre. While we are passionate about our power levels and kWs, Volta is also about the connectivity relationships we have with service providers such as Level 3.”

Sundeep Samra, product planning manager, data centres, Level 3 Communications EMEA, said: “As a global network solutions provider, Level 3 works with data centre companies such as Volta to enable the provision of cost-efficient networking solutions for customers. It is all about meeting customers’ business challenges and helping them drive growth.”
