IIS establishes data centre footprint with TeleData UK in Manchester

Internet Investigations Services (IIS), providers of un-attributable open source browsing and evidence capture solutions, has revealed details of its investment into a significant data centre footprint by partnering with TeleData UK Ltd; providers of Manchester data centre and colocation services.

The news will see TeleData host and protect critical server equipment for IIS in order for the company to deliver its portfolio of online services from a specialist facility.
IIS delivers a range of products and solutions to covertly gather intelligence from the internet, enabling investigators to tackle sophisticated methods of Cybercrime where criminal activity is often conducted within a rapidly changing online environment.

The owners of IIS previously formed and operated one of the world’s largest data protection companies where clients included Police Forces, The CPS, Government Departments, Energy firms, Communication and Drug companies.

Chris Powell – Director at IIS comments: “Cybercrime and crime which is enabled by technology is very real and significant threat globally. From cyber-attacks on national infrastructure though to a case of bullying on a social network site, technology has without doubt enabled the methodology by which crime is committed to evolve. Our solutions are specifically designed to address these threats and to do so effectively it’s an absolute necessity for us to host our equipment within one of the most secure and technically sound data centres in Europe. We’re confident that we’ve done that with TeleData.”

Operating since 2007, TeleData’s carrier neutral Manchester data centre facility hosts server and telecommunications equipment for businesses aiming to protect their business critical servers, applications and online resources against the damaging effects of server or network downtime – such as flood, fire or power outages. The data centre is ISO27001 accredited and the company states that it the only colocation facility in the UK with a BS5979 Security Centre onsite.

Matthew Edgley, Sales Director at TeleData adds: “TeleData are delighted to have been selected by IIS. We pride ourselves on the levels of physical and information security we offer at the facility which is instrumental in attracting customers that provide applications within the online security arena. Personally, having worked with the IIS Management team in the past I am confident that this is a relationship which will boost the growth of both businesses and we’re very much looking forward to working with their team.”
