Clarizen, a global leader in collaborative work management software, has opened two new data centres in Europe to better serve its multinational and European customers. The Clarizen application will be hosted in the two locations – in London, UK, and in Amsterdam, the Netherlands – in Equinix data centres with an uptime average of more than 99.999%.

Clarizen will process and store customer data in both locations. One centre will be the primary location; the second will act as the disaster recovery site. The centres mean that Clarizen’s European customers’ data always remains within Europe and both locations will be operated and monitored on a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week, 365-days-a-year basis by Clarizen’s managed services staff.
“We have chosen these two locations because they are Europe’s best connected cities and considered the largest Internet exchanges in the world. They will support our expansion into Europe and provide regional data storage for our European customers,” said Mr. Nowogrodski.
Both centres have environmentally friendly accreditation, reflecting Clarizen’s and Equinix’s commitment to environmentally friendly practices. They also have all the major accredited certifications including ISO 50001 and 14001 and the Amsterdam centre won the 2014 DataCloud Congress Award for Environmental Sustainability. The Amsterdam centre also offers super fast connection to most of Europe within 50 milliseconds.
Clarizen already has two data centres in the US, hosted by Equinix and Telx. The Californian-based company chose Equinix as its European data centre facilitator because of the superior average uptime and the extraordinary physical security and operational reliability across a global platform of more than 100 data centres.
