Emerson Network Power says that its next-generation static Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), the Trinergy™ Cube, is able to deliver a broader choice of capacity and scalability in one single unit with the introduction of a new 200 kVA power core.

“In addition to Trinergy Cube’s industry-leading features, recently recognised with the 2014 EMEA Frost & Sullivan Award for Technology Leadership, this latest update offers our customers even more scalability to meet their ever-changing requirements”, said Giovanni Zanei, product marketing director, Power Systems for Emerson Network Power in Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Data centre managers are now able to expand the UPS system according to their growing needs with smaller capacity power cores for further flexibility, resulting in reduced CAPEX and TCO.”

By allowing smaller capacity increments, the new 200 kVA power core size meets a broader variety of power system requirements while offering the industry’s highest average operating efficiency of 98.5 percent and up to 99.5 percent maximum efficiency. Moreover, Trinergy Cube’s smart capacity adapts load power supplies to the installation site conditions, providing maximised power to the load.

The unit’s design is also extremely flexible, as Trinergy Cube allows for hot scalability up to 3 MW in a single unit and up to 24 MW in a parallel system and can be configured in a vast range of layouts including a straight row, L-shape or back-to-back. The high power density ensures that data centre managers can make the best use of available floor space, overcoming space constraints and ever-rising real estate costs, as well as optimising TCO.

The Trinergy Cube is complemented by sophisticated service capabilities, delivered through Emerson Network Power’s LIFE™ remote diagnostic and preventive monitoring service. This provides the servicing team with real-time analytics allowing them to recommend actions that maintain the best operational performance as well as enable pre-emptive and immediate issue resolution.
