SolidFire has introduced the latest release in its Agile Infrastructure (AI) family of pre-validated reference architectures. Built specifically for enterprises looking to deploy OpenStack-based infrastructure, SolidFire’s newest AI design incorporates Cisco’s compute and networking, Red Hat’s Enterprise Linux OpenStack distribution and SolidFire’s all-flash scale-out storage platform. SolidFire’s latest AI for OpenStack enables Cisco-powered enterprises to dramatically simplify and accelerate OpenStack cloud deployments.

SolidFire AI for OpenStack allows customers to stand up a dynamic self-service cloud infrastructure in significantly less time, with less space and for less money than alternative converged infrastructure offerings. Unique capabilities of SolidFire’s new AI for OpenStack on Cisco UCS include:

True Scale-Out Infrastructure- Leverage the dynamic benefits of scale-out design across compute, network and storage for a more flexible, predictable and cost-effective OpenStack infrastructure.
No Vendor Lock-In - Modularity at each layer of the stack eliminates threat of hardware or software lock-in.
Accelerated OpenStack Time-to-Value - Pre-validated solution enables the fastest cloud deployments in under 90 minutes and drastically reduces complexity of adopting OpenStack infrastructure in a Next Generation Data Center design.
Guaranteed Performance - With SolidFire’s unique Quality of Service (QoS) controls, SolidFire AI can easily consolidate mixed-workload environments within a single, shared infrastructure without compromising performance to any one application.
Best-of-Breed Design - Built using best-of-breed technology across all layers of the stack to deliver a fully featured cloud infrastructure solution.

“We believe the phase of enterprise adoption we are entering into will be driven by industry leaders providing fully tested and certified solutions that enable rapid time to value and high availability, while being fully supported by our partners,” said Mike Werner, Sr. Director, Global Technology Partner Programs, Red Hat. “SolidFire’s Agile Infrastructure showcases its commitment to delivering infrastructure that meets the strict production requirements of the enterprise.”

“With SolidFire AI, enterprise IT and service providers can now confidently deploy a dynamic data center infrastructure that helps them achieve greater agility, automation, predictability and scale,” said SolidFire’s VP of Corporate Development & Strategy Dave Cahill. “By joining forces with Cisco and Red Hat, SolidFire’s AI for OpenStack offers everything customers need to deploy an OpenStack cloud and transform their data centers to accelerate productivity and innovation.”
