55 countries represented at Datacloud Europe

The annual Data Centre and Cloud event attracting the leadership of sector businesses worldwide takes place once again in Monaco this week.

Datacloud Europe promises one of the most extensive so far with 180 expert speakers addressing agenda setting issues across data centres, cloud, energy, internet of things, cyber security, smart cities, innovations in cooling, connectivity and fibre, finance and investment.

 

This year marks the first time four of the leaders of Europe’s top data centre players – Eric Schwartz, president EMEA, Equinix; John Hughes CBE, executive chairman, TelecityGroup; Masaaki Moribayashi, managing director, NTT Europe Ltd, and Jarrett Appleby, chief operations officer, Digital Realty – have met publicly in a panel discussion chaired by Steve Wallage, managing director of commercial due diligence market leader BroadGroup Consulting.

 

The conference will also hear a much anticipated address from industry entrepreneur Michael Tobin OBE, on post-merger Europe.

 

Beginning on the evening of 2nd with the annual Awards ceremony, the event is characterised by an all embracing programme for learning and insight, wide range of networking activities and sponsor led events across the 2 days, on site product demonstrations, four theatres, cyber security summit with award-winning expert Graham Clulely discussing the chilling prospect of the next wave of cybercrime, dark fibre workshop based on new BroadGroup research, finance and investment forum, a tour de force covering data centre market opportunities in Turkey, Africa, Nordics, East Med, China, Ireland, Malaysia and Viborg Denmark (one of the two new Apple Data centre locations in Europe).

 

The importance of cloud and the revolution it is driving will be addressed in a keynote by Abhijit Dubey, Principal McKinsey & Company (San Francisco) and experts including Sam Johnston of Equinix, Joe Baguley of VMWare and Cole Crawford, ceo of Vapor.io will present a new keynote, “Why General George S Patton was right. How IOT is driving a shift in Cloud Computing.”
