The rise of the Virtual Desktop leads to Actual Virtual

Liquidware Labs has partnered with UK specialist desktop virtualisation distributor, Actual Virtual.

“As virtual desktops become more prevalent across SMB and the Enterprise, more niche resellers are becoming interested in offering these solutions to their customers,” commented Fraser Norman, head of UK operations, Liquidware Labs. “With this rise of the virtual desktop phenomenon, we required a boutique distributor, to complement our current channel, and expand our products into this reseller base. Therefore, we are delighted to welcome Actual Virtual as a Liquidware Labs distributor.”

Only recently (11th May) Gartner published a report entitled “Solution Path for Deploying VDI” (G00276801), that highlighted the need for a 4-step approach for any company looking at VDI; Plan, Evaluate, Design and Implement. Simon Greer, Managing Director, Actual Virtual concurred, “Including Liquidware Labs’ solutions in our portfolio will enable us to provide this imperative 4-step approach for our resellers and their customers. The planning and evaluation reporting from Stratusphere FIT provides our resellers the tools to create the right design for their customers and, with ProfileUnity enabling a seamless migration, ensures a successful VDI implementation. We are very excited to be able to offer Liquidware Labs’ comprehensive solutions to our resellers.”

The advantages a boutique distributor brings to both Liquidware Labs and resellers alike include being able to transact with smaller resellers that, perhaps, larger broadline distributors wouldn’t even consider to provide a credit line to. Actual Virtual, with their focus on desktop virtualisation, will provide new resellers to Liquidware Labs with the advantages of specialist knowledge and services, as well as higher margins.
