With over 20 years’ experience in the Danish and Swedish storage and back up markets, SEC DataCom focuses on the small and medium sized enterprise space that suits Arcserve’s products so well. Products like the newly launched Unified Data Protection (UDP), the first solution to combine industry-proven backup, replication, high availability and true global de-duplication technologies within one unified console for virtual and physical systems.

Arcserve will have direct access to SEC DataCom’s wide reseller base, which includes leading Value-Added Resellers, System Integrators and Service Providers, and stretches across all vertical markets.

SEC DataCom AB Sweden, Managing Director, Michael Enlund said: “We chose to work with Arcserve because we’re excited by its products, performance and availability, and price point. These factors combine to make Arcserve’s portfolio a perfect match for the small and medium sized businesses that we work with.

By working with SEC DataCom, Arcserve will have direct access to the leading VARs in the region – and be in a very strong position to grow its business in our area.”

SEC DataCom Denmark Sales Manager, Storage Division, Troels Brock, also said: “Arcserve is an established brand in the storage, backup and recovery markets and its Unified Data Protection suite aligns perfectly with the predominantly small and medium sized Danish end-users requirements. This complements our existing storage portfolio perfectly. Our resellers are already telling us how interested they are in Arcserve’s offering.”

Arcserve Sales Director - UKI, Nordics and South Africa, Giovanni Goduti said: “Arcserve is one of the fastest growing backup and replication vendors in the industry. We’re now an independent company, and we wanted a focused value added distribution partner to work with to drive our business forward, continuing our huge growth within Scandinavia.

We are very impressed with SEC DataCom’s knowledge of storage and backup, and with the strong relationships it has with its reseller base. It was therefore a logical next to appoint them exclusively across Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

With the market penetration of Arcserve UDP and with our competition struggling, we believe that partnering with SEC DataCom puts us in a very strong position to continue our rapid growth.”

As part of the company’s strategy in the region, SEC DataCom Denmark will support Arcserve in Norway until the distributor’s new Norwegian operation is established. This will ensure a sustained presence of Arcserve’s product in one of Scandinavia’s major countries.
