AMS-IX revamped its Partner Program in 2013 introducing a tiered status for partners while leveraging co-marketing to promote both the partners as well as Amsterdam as a hub for interconnection on the public Internet.
Mark Cooper, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of AMS-IX: “Our partners play an important part in the growth of AMS-IX. Last year, 74% of our new customers joined us via a partner, compared to 68% in 2013. We were the first Internet Exchange in the world to introduce a partner program, making them an integral part of our strategy. EvoSwitch has proven to be a solid and committed partner, and we look forward to continuing our mutual success in 2015.”
“We are of course very pleased with our renewed AMS-IX partner status,” adds Eric Boonstra, Managing Director of EvoSwitch. “They provide great value to our customers that need low-latency connectivity to the Internet. As we see our customer mix evolve from Internet-centric to include providers and buyers of Cloud services, we expect to see AMS-IX lead in providing a platform of neutral, distributed connectivity services which not only benefits our customers, but Amsterdam as a region for international organizations to come and build and interconnect their global or regional Cloud platforms.”
AMS-IX introduced its partner program in response to a growing demand from parties worldwide, wanting to connect to AMS-IX. Since the introduction, AMS-IX has welcomed customers from all over the world. AMS-IX Partners who are colocation providers or network service providers, play an important part in connecting these customers.
