Storage Made Easy helps Síminn with OpenStack evaluation in the Icelandic market

SME provides value added services as part of OpenStack Swift evaluation.

Storage Made Easy has been working with Síminn, an Icelandic Service Provider to help with its OpenStack Swift evaluation. The work included evaluating integration with the Síminn existing LDAP provisioning and also helping with mobile client analysis and concept design.

OpenStack Swift is a multi-tenant highly scalable object storage system. It was designed to store large amounts of unstructured data at a low cost. Swift is becoming increasingly used in the Enterprise as well as with Internet Service Providers (ISP’s).


Jim Liddle, Storage Made Easy CEO, said:  “We have solid skills in working with OpenStack Swift and are able to help customers in such evaluations. Although we have our own Enterprise File Share and Sync product for Swift we can also provide professional services around OpenStack Swift as well as dedicated Swift Desktop and Mobile Apps, which can be branded and adapted as the customer requires.”
