Avnet authorised to distribute Lenovo enterprise products in the UK

Avnet Technology Solutions has been authorised to distribute Lenovo’s System x (x86) servers and related solutions, including BladeCenter and Flex Systems, in the UK. This follows the October 1, 2014, transition of IBM’s System x server business to Lenovo. Avnet is already an authorised distributor of Lenovo System x servers and related solutions in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia Pacific.

In partnership with Lenovo, effective January 1, 2015, Avnet will distribute the company’s System x, BladeCenter and Flex System blade servers and switches, x86-based Flex integrated systems, NeXtScale and iDataPlex servers and associated software, blade networking and maintenance operations. Under the terms of the agreement, Avnet will offer these Lenovo servers and solutions in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK.

To help channel partners offer complete end-to-end solutions, Avnet will continue to provide a variety of traditional service offerings, such as logistics, sales, marketing, finance and technical services, strategically paired with business, IT, lifecycle and education services.
