Desktop PDU range

The latest addition to the Excel range is designed to add greater accessibility to the work place as it presents both power and network ports in a compact and stylish design that sits on the edge of the desk, removing the need to scramble underneath to charge and power phones, tablets and laptops.

The stylish annodised aluminium desk top PDUs are easily fitted to the desktop with clamps supplied. They are available with UK or Schuko Power Sockets and have options for 6c apertures to accept data outlets and USB power and come in a choice of sizes. The USB outlets supply up to 2.1 amps permitting phones or tablets to be charged.

Tracey Calcutt, Marketing Manager said ‘The idea to add these products to the range actually came from a suggestion from one of our Excel Partners at a previous partner briefing. We are always keen to get feedback and ideas from our partners and particularly where they think we have a gap in the range.’

Tracey continued ‘The desktop power distribution units complement our existing PDU range and add another potential revenue stream for our partners. With more and more ‘hot desk’ working environments in place, having easy access to power and data really helps the users to be up and running in a matter of minutes and without the need of having to get on their hands and knees under a desk to plug everything in.’

Tracey concluded ‘In the future our plan is to introduce more products into the range that provide different socket choices, such as audio video connections, to make accessibility far easier.’
