Infinity SDC appoints Jason O’Conaill to drive US client growth

Infinity SDC has announced the appointment of Jason O’Conaill as its client partner for international markets.

Jason has been appointed to a new position created by Infinity to build working relationships with US companies looking to expand into the UK. Jason will assist Infinity in providing prospective US clients with local knowledge and support when aiming to set up a data centre in the UK. This appointment will enable US companies to access Infinity’s growing data centre portfolio in the UK and increasing range of services.

London is a major hub for many US companies looking to establish themselves in Europe. Culturally, it is the closest to the US and has a strong technology and start up culture. In addition, trade between the UK and US is worth more than $130 billion every year.

Stuart Sutton, Infinity CEO, says, “We’re delighted that Jason has joined Infinity as our client partner, particularly in such an exciting period of growth for the company. We’ve developed a strong team with specific expertise, and Jason, with his unrivalled insight into global data centre user needs, gives us the edge on international opportunities.”

“We view the US as a massive opportunity. The top 150 technology companies are based in Silicon Valley and recently they have generated more than $100 billion in net income.”

“Jason truly understands the technical and commercial needs of global data centre users and with him now on board, our four London data centre facilities at the ready, we’re in the ideal position to further grow our US client base.”

Jason adds, “US technology organisations are experiencing accelerated growth in Data Centre and Cloud deployments internationally. They are looking for better customer experience, data sovereignty and lower latency; Infinity and the UK as a whole can offer this to them. London offers a compelling environment for critical data centre deployments and I look forward to assisting them in successfully realising the benefits London and the UK can bring to their worldwide data centre expansions. I am looking forward to an exciting time in the UK Data Centre industry where only the best locations and facilities will meet the exacting demands of the technology leaders of today.”

Prior to joining Infinity Jason headed up the cloud and data centre business in Ireland’s largest telecoms company eircom in Dublin. Jason has 17 year’s experience in delivering major data centre, energy and cloud projects into Europe and has delivered high value revenue streams in international data centre and cloud environments.
