AdaptiveMobile says that it is now present in nine out of the top ten mobile operator groups globally, protecting over 1 billion subscribers from mobile security threats. This major milestone was passed with the addition of 33 new operator customers in the last 18 months and cements its position as the world leader in mobile security. AdaptiveMobile’s unique big data analysis capabilities witness over 30 billion mobile events every day from every region of the globe – the equivalent of 10.9 trillion events per year.

As enterprise mobility strategies bring more potential unprotected devices into the enterprise, exposing businesses to new threats out of their control, AdaptiveMobile has enjoyed significant uptake of its cloud-based Enterprise Mobile Security Management (MSM); the hosted, white-label security solution is now in over 20 trials with operators worldwide. The MSM solution increases the value of AdaptiveMobile’s relationship with mobile operators, seeing it build on its messaging security leadership to deliver integrated end-to-end security for the enterprise. The company is also active in securing system integrators and other channels to sell this product into global enterprises.

“It would be easy to look at the trends in the industry and cry “we’re all doomed”, such is the scale and pace of the mobile security challenge,” said Brian Collins, CEO, AdaptiveMobile. “There is only one way in which the industry can respond – at a scale and pace that means new threats are identified before they become a problem. We can never be complacent, but with nine out of the top 10* mobile operator groups preferring AdaptiveMobile we are giving a level of confidence to mobile operators, their subscribers and enterprises customers, that means mobile security concerns will not act as a handbrake on market innovation and most critically end-user experience.”

The significant growth of AdaptiveMobile’s operator customer base across the board is in line with analyst forecasts on the growth of the messaging security market, with the SMS security market alone forecast by Infonetics to be worth $1billion by 2018. AdaptiveMobile has been at the forefront of identifying and neutralising emerging mobile-borne threats, including most recently the self-propagating Selfmite SMS worm, a new generation of Android malware.

“With threats continuously arising from a multitude of services, mobile operators are seeking out security solutions which protect all of the services on a network,” said Jeff Wilson, Principal Analyst for Security at Infonetics Research. “AdaptiveMobile provides a strong set of network-to-handset security solutions that protect critical mobile services.”

To support the rapid customer growth and expansion into new mobile security areas, AdaptiveMobile has also expanded its team with a series of high-level appointments including some of the most respected figures in the industry. Senior appointments include David Miller joining as COO and Jonathan Perkins as EVP Global Sales.
