Wilcock, with 10 years’ experience leading technology businesses within both the IT and Security markets, takes up his post with immediate effect. His role will see him strategically lead TeleData through the most important development phase in the company’s history.
Prior to joining TeleData, Shaun was the Head of Technology for Reliance, a leading UK integrated security provider. Responsible for the overall technology strategy, Shaun covered Professional Services, Hosting, Monitoring, Internal Systems and Development, playing a key role in delivering new IT centric products and services to the security marketplace.
TeleData states that it has privately invested more than £3 million into the business over the last 18 months. Much of this investment has been made into critical data centre infrastructure and has seen the facility grow into one of the most technically resilient and highly connected data centres in the UK. The colocation facility is also the only one in Europe to operate a BS5979 & BS8418 accredited security centre on site.
Matt Edgley, Sales Director at TeleData UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Shaun to TeleData. His extensive leadership skills and broad knowledge gained within the technology sector will prove to be a major asset in driving the company forwards as we continue to build on our consistent growth. In addition, Shaun’s quality and compliance expertise will be invaluable in leading the company through a new phase of successful development. It is absolutely essential for us to recruit such a high calibre of individual in order to achieve our substantial growth objectives and to capitalise on the huge investments we have made recently.”
Shaun Wilcock states: “I am thrilled to be joining TeleData at such a pivotal moment in the company’s history. It is my ambition to leverage the recent investment to accelerate growth and develop new service offerings. A key component of meeting this ambition is to define a type of business environment and culture that offers a unique proposition to new and existing customers. I look forward to working with the entire TeleData team as we embark on this exciting journey of transformation.”
The move to bring Wilcock to the company follows other recent staff investment at Board level and within the Operations team. Further recruitment is planned to enhance skillsets within core TeleData service departments such as 24/7 technical support and to deliver new products lines, such as disaster recovery workspace solutions, that are due for launch by the company in the very near future.
