EvoSwitch says that Liquid Web, Inc. has chosen its Amsterdam AMS1 data center for the company's first expansion into Europe.
Lansing, Michigan-based Liquid Web is a prominent managed web hosting company that operates three data center facilities in the US. It offers a broad range of services, from dedicated servers and virtual private servers to private cloud solutions, DDoS protection and content distribution services. Liquid Web’s decision to expand into Europe was driven by a desire to further reduce latency by hosting its European customer-base closer to end users and provide additional options for Geographic Redundancy.
“As a managed hosting provider that has engineered its own facilities, we spent a considerable amount of time looking for the right data center partner in Europe,” says Matthew Hill, Liquid Web CEO. “We focused on Amsterdam because of the low latencies to the rest of mainland Europe as well as the UK, and found, in EvoSwitch, a partner that truly understands our business. Liquid Web offers what we call ‘Heroic Support’, which means going above and beyond what’s expected of a hosting company to save any customer’s day. We felt that same cultural fit in dealing with EvoSwitch.”
“Liquid Web is a great example of a successful hosting company with a laser-sharp focus on support, and we’re proud to list them among our customers,” says Eric Boonstra, EvoSwitch Managing Director. “More and more, hosting and cloud companies from outside of Europe are trusting us with their infrastructure because of our ability to align ourselves with their needs, ’above and beyond’ the typical requirements like connectivity, power pricing and security. We look forward to making Liquid Web more successful as they grow their business in Europe.”
With the agreement, EvoSwitch’s AMS1 Data Center is now home to more than 40 cloud and hosting service providers.
