The conference is held in conjunction with the Data Centre Alliance together with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Manchester and Datacentre Solutions Magazine.

With a presentation by Francis George, Data Centre Marketing Manager, from their Benfeld HQ, Socomec will share the latest thinking on the complex challenges facing owners and operators of modern Data Centres; in particular, the presentation will focus on the most recent developments in Data Centre energy storage technology and battery technology.

Andrew Wilkinson, Regional Managing Director of Socomec, comments; “In order to address the most important industry challenges – of today and tomorrow - the latest product developments require a specialized and inter-disciplinary approach to provide high performance, reliable and cost-effective power solutions that are flexible enough to be scaled to meet the rapidly changing demands of Data Centres.

Socomec invests heavily in pioneering research and product design in order to deliver world-class innovations that solve our industry’s greatest challenges in terms of energy availability, efficiency, flexibility, monitoring and sustainability – whilst also minimizing Total Cost of Ownership.”

Critical buildings and facilities are challenged with constantly evolving demands on energy performance. The supply of reliable, cost-effective power which can be scaled to meet the rapidly changing demands of a Data Centre is a vital component of the overall performance of the data facility.

Increasingly, legislation also demands that buildings and infrastructure are more sustainable throughout their total life.

Andrew Wilkinson, Regional Managing Director, Socomec; “At Socomec, we believe that it’s becoming increasingly important to address the fundamental challenges facing Data Centres and critical buildings. The world in which we live and work is changing rapidly and our clients’ businesses are changing shape as a result. We are delighted to be part of this important conference – and to help create solutions to the most critical energy problems that we face now, and in the future.”
