Following the opening of its Dubai office in February, Airedale International has now appointed Nissar Rahman as Sales & Applications Engineer for the Middle East, supporting Area Manager, Andrew Walker. With a background in mechanical engineering, Nissar was raised in Kerala, India and has lived in Dubai for the last four years. He joins Airedale from an applications engineer position with Dunham Bush, one of the world’s top manufacturers of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) systems.

28-year old Nissar will provide technical and commercial support to Airedale’s business partners in Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. As part of the programme for developing business in the region, Airedale will also roll out an extensive training programme to local decision-makers and engineers on the back of its significant pedigree in HVACR and data centre cooling technologies. With cooling applications in over 60 countries around the world, Airedale has vast experience in designing systems to meet the challenges faced by data centre and cooling installation operators in tropical and subtropical climates – from temperatures which can soar above 50°C and high humidity levels to preventing ingress of dust and sand in order to maintain air quality.

Over the last 12 months Airedale has been busy building the infrastructure to support its growth plans which has seen it reinforce relationships with international business partners and key customers and establish bases in Moscow and Dubai, both of which it believes are key to success. The British manufacturer has also strengthened its UK-based international sales team with the promotion of Asim Ansari to the role of Export Sales Manager.

Commercial Director, Mark Viner said: “We’re delighted that Nissar has agreed to join us. He’s a very talented and experienced engineer who will be pivotal to our growth plans in the Middle East. British engineering is a highly respected discipline around the world and Airedale is committed to making sure that that remains the case by continuing to develop innovative, award-winning cooling solutions that raise the bar globally in terms of energy efficiency and resilience.”
