Westcoast selects Ensim Automation Suite

Westcoast Limited, a leading UK distributor for vendors including HP, Microsoft, Apple, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung, and more, has deployed the Ensim Automation Suite (EAS) to support front and back-end business operations automation for its multi-tiered distribution business leveraging the cloud to deliver automated offerings to its extensive network of VARs in the UK.

The Ensim Automation Suite enables service providers and enterprises to deploy a complete and turn-key solution for marketplace, service catalog, provisioning, and chargeback / billing, with complete workflow orchestration and automation. Delegated administration portals enable simplified and automated user and administrator self-service at all levels (customer, agent, reseller, service provider). Ensim enables Westcoast to deploy a wide variety of ITaaS offerings via a flexible open catalog with complete automated provisioning for email, PBX, collaboration, and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) offerings. Additionally, Westcoast is able to provide full BSS capabilities (including offer customization, branding, usage reporting, billing / chargeback, and more) to its 5,000+ resellers, with each having their own turnkey business platform to support sales and IT operations.

"Being able to deliver automated service offerings via the cloud is critical for success in today's highly competitive landscape," said Peter Heath, CIO, Westcoast Group. "We are empowering our channel partners with the right tools and capabilities to sell in a more seamless and cost-effective manner. The Ensim Automation Suite not only gives us all the functionality we need to support our business, but also the flexibility to support all types of offerings and transactions in the cloud now and in the future and share these capabilities with each of our reseller partners so they, too, can compete more effectively."

The Ensim Automation Suite supports a full range of cloud service brokerage operations to enable multi-level distribution channels as well as an open catalog that enables selling automated and non-automated goods and services such as physical hardware, support agreements or even custom professional services bundled or unbundled with cloud service offerings. With advanced product modeling, EAS enables providers to configure offers and items with element-by- element level pricing plans and business policies and apply different methodologies as go to market solutions.

"Westcoast is a highly respected distributor in the UK and has risen to the challenge to meet the complex and evolving demands to deliver products and services to its channel partners in a faster and more effective way," said David Wippich, CEO of Ensim. "We are pleased to be able to provide Westcoast with the Ensim platform and enable them to launch automated cloud services offerings with an end-to-end ITaaS solution while providing added value to their network of value-added resellers."
