The Borri B9600FXS UPS modules have been positioned in a 2N electrical configuration, where one has been custom designed in orange and another in black to identify the A + B supplies. All associated switchgear and cabling have also been custom coloured respectively.
This additional 1.6MVA in emergency power capacity has been installed to support the rapidly expanding co-located data centre, which due to demand has accelerated its expansion plans and space continues to go fast.
Everest Data Centre’s owner, Ed Butler commented on the recent works: “The uptake of space at our Reading facility continues to gather pace and so does our expansion. We have worked closely with all our suppliers, including Borri to ensure the smooth delivery of all additional site elements.
“I have to commend Borri for its flexibility and conscientious work ethic. We have had to adjust the schedule of works a number of times but Borri was able to fit in with our requirements without any disruption to our day-to-day operation.
“Borri has also been able to supply items to us quickly and they even managed to deliver a bespoke coloured UPS unit within the tight time frames we stipulated. The quick turnaround has allowed us to get the next phase of the facility up and running well ahead of schedule.
“The UPS solutions from Borri have performed exceptionally well and with 12 Borri UPS now on site we have full confidence in their resilience. We are already gearing up for the next phase of development, which will see further Borri UPS installations by the autumn.”
As the sole UPS systems provider for Everest, Borri has now installed ten B9600FXS UPS systems and two B9000FXS UPS, which are all fully operational and providing reliable back-up power.
All of the three phase UPS systems from Borri have been designed with resilience as their primary function, which makes them the most protective back-up power equipment of their kind.
