Andy Burton appointed Non Executive Chairman of Concorde Solutions

Former CEO of SAM and Cloud Services businesses takes on strategic role as Chairman at Concorde.

Andy Burton has been appointed as the Non Executive Chairman of Concorde Solutions, a leading software developer and service provider delivering business analytics for managing software compliance, optimisation and governance across complex IT estates for Enterprises and Public Sector organisations. The appointment follows the recent announcement that the company had secured a multi-million dollar investment.

Andy, who has been a Non Executive Director with the firm for the last two years, brings with him a wealth of relevant experience having previously held CEO roles at Centennial Software (now part of FrontRange); Content Technologies and most recently Web and Cloud Services provider, Fasthosts Internet Group. Andy is also the Chief Revenue Officer of innovative UK hybrid cloud ISV, Zynstra, a Non Executive Director of both FAST and Outsourcery plc, and the Founder and a Director of the influential Cloud Industry Forum.

Outgoing Chairman, Michael Jackson, whose invaluable contribution has helped steer the business to its current stage of development, will remain on the Board representing the investment of Elderstreet Investments Limited in his capacity as Chairman of the venture capital and investment firm.

Martin Prendergast, CEO of Concorde Solutions, stated: “We are grateful to Michael for his excellent chairmanship over the recent years and for the continued commitment and support of Elderstreet. Following our recent investment round, the timing was right to appoint an independent Chairman, and with over 20 years leading software and services companies, Andy has established a solid reputation as a passionate advocate of new technology innovation and adoption that fits perfectly with Concorde’s plans. The Board is delighted that Andy has agreed to become Concorde Solutions new Chairman as we accelerate our market reach, capitalising on our strong Intell ectual Property and our broadening solution set. With his knowledge and experience in SAM, compliance, hosting and data centre services Andy will add real value to our business as Chairman, helping shape our strategy and guide our development alongside our investors.”

Andy Burton stated: “I am excited to become Chairman of the Concorde Board. It is a great company with an excellent team, unique capability, marquee customers, and supported by great investors. Concorde continues to set itself apart in the market through intelligent innovation which has established Core Control as a leading Platform for both Enterprises and Service Providers to rely on to inform and aid the efficient and accurate management of increasingly complex ‘Hybrid IT’ estates,”
“Most Enterprises today work in an environment that encompasses on-premise through to Cloud based IT services, and the traditional endpoints of desktops have expanded under the adoption of BYOD. The challenge in such a shifting landscape is how best to optimise investment, maintain controls and ensure risks are mitigated. I personally believe that Concorde is best placed to help end customers and/ or their Service Providers be better informed and make more timely and effective decisions that drive real financial and operational benefits.”

The company recently raised $2.5 million in new investment led by new investor, JMI Services, LLC, and included follow-on participation from Panoramic Growth Equity and Elderstreet, both of whom were existing investors. Concorde will use this additional capital to further expand its geographic coverage, go-to-market programs and core product investment.
