Easynet chooses NCR to differentiate its cloud infrastructure services

First engagement features accelerated delivery of IT transformation project to 40 international sites in six weeks for Campofrio Food Group.

NCR Corporation says that its Telecom & Technology line of business is providing maintenance and deployment services to the largest independent network and hosting integrator in Europe, Easynet. This includes provision of a complete end-to-end solution of equipment sourcing, staging, shipping and installation services, with lifecycle management of parts and labor. This allows Easynet to focus on network delivery, configuration and management for its customers, with NCR delivering the hardware and installation services element for specific projects.

An early example of the NCR and Easynet partnership is a highly successful, rapid deployment early in 2014 when Campofrio Food Group chose to work with Easynet Global Services to transform its IT infrastructure at over 40 sites internationally in just six weeks.

With a global footprint of 13,000 service professionals in more than 180 countries around the world, NCR is well positioned to partner with Easynet virtually anywhere their customers wish. NCR provides maintenance and deployment services through a specialist team of project management and technical professionals to enable technology providers, like Easynet, to operate more effectively and efficiently, and grow their businesses. The result is customer projects, including Campofrio’s IT transformation, delivered on time, on plan and on budget and with the flexibility you would expect of a global technology company, such as NCR.

"Good business is about strong relationships that add value to our customers. NCR has the reach and expertise that enable Easynet to exceed customer expectations and deliver complex projects quickly, on time and on budget,” said Christophe Verdenne, managing director for Southern Europe at Easynet. ”The design and accelerated delivery of Campofrio Food Group’s IT transformation was one such project. Their vision and desire for change, coupled with Easynet's track record in rolling out global projects and NCR’s global service capabilities has resulted in a powerful and potent IT infrastructure that is ready for the future."

Campofrio Food Group, a leading provider of meat products in Europe and the United States with revenues of two billion Euros, signed a three-year global contract with Easynet as part of its IT transformation programme. This includes service provision for Campofrio’s MPLS network in Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Portugal and the USA, as well as managed security and video conference solutions. NCR is providing the maintenance and deployment services to Easynet to enable this.

Campofrio Food Group made this strategic investment in its IT infrastructure by implementing a 'smart' corporate network solution and the application performance management solution (APM) to improve collaboration and cost efficiency across their business. Powerful, strategic integrated IT was needed to drive change across the organization in order to improve collaboration and communication, and ensure that Campofrio is well positioned to enable future growth.

"Technology and telecom providers, such as Easynet, must differentiate in today’s competitive international market. Innovative technology and strong relationships are the lifeblood of such differentiation," said Sophia Williams, vice president and general manager, Telecom & Technology line of business at NCR. "Our experience, global footprint and technical knowledge allow our customers to go to market faster while improving service quality. We are proud to be working with Easynet to help them deliver on their core value proposition with our proven service solutions."
