Juniper provides advanced network training

Juniper Networks will provide a four day training and end exam certification course for Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) for 100 Information Communication Technology (ICT) undergraduate and post graduate students studying either a BEng/MEng Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering degree or a MSc Telecommunications systems degree.

Hosted by the Juniper Networks Academic Alliance, a partnership between Juniper Networks and leading universities, colleges and academic institutions, the event will take place on the 9th -12th June. This free course will bring together college students for three days of technical training and a day of certification examination to help students learn Junos® operating system and become JNCIA-Junos Certified.

This course offers students the opportunity to have a better understanding of Juniper Networks technologies with access to specialized education training that will help advance future career prospects

Juniper Networks technical certifications are industry recognized credentials that will help any career progression as it demonstrates a benchmark of experience and expertise recognized in the networking industry

Training through the Junosphere Cloud Classroom enables the students to have flexible, on-demand access to a virtual classroom environment consisting of networks and routers running Junos operating system.

Dramatically reduces operational costs while giving students experience with commercial network operating systems.

Queen Mary students and facilities use Junosphere Classroom for realistic, extensive and sophisticated network modeling, as well as intensive configuration experimentation.

Designed for networking, engineering and computer science students with intermediate knowledge of networking, content from Juniper’s Introduction to the Junos Operating System (IJOS) and Junos Routing Essentials (JRE) classes will provide students with an understanding of Junos OS, networking fundamentals, and basic routing and switching techniques. On the fourth day students will attempt the JNCIA-Junos certification.
