Portugal Telecom (PT) has hosted a delegation of EU ambassadors and senior diplomats at its world-class data centre in Covilhã yesterday as part of the Innovation Union strategy to boost investment and job-creation.

The Greek Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which orchestrated the visit, chose the €90 million Covilhã facility as an example of inspiration in technology and innovation due to its status as one of the largest and most advanced data centres in the world.

And, what is important for a member-state, is important for all the other member-states, since it make us “together, sail further”, as the motto of the Greek Presidency goes.”
