Phoenix wins BT ICT Partner of the Year award

Phoenix, the leading provider of Business Continuity and IT Managed Services across the UK, is pleased to announce that its Managed Services division has been named BT’s ICT Partner of the Year for 2014. This highly prestigious accolade is in recognition of Phoenix’s work with BT Business Partner Sales, a channel-to-market targeting UK SMEs & Corporates. Phoenix has the widest network of IT infrastructure in the UK, including operations in Birstall and Wakefield.

Phoenix has produced its best ever performance in ICT business, growing total ICT sales by 170%.

BT Business Partner Sales operate a sales referral model where partners such as Phoenix find new business. In its role, Phoenix resell BT’s connectivity as part of Phoenix’s WAN services, including its CloudSure UK platform, delivering significant levels of incremental contracts to BT each year.

CloudSure UK is Phoenix’s packages of secure, reliable hosting solutions, built using leading Cloud computing technology and allows customers to harness the benefits of enterprise-quality Cloud computing for less cost.

Commenting on winning the award, Tim Bodill, Sales Director of Managed Services at Phoenix, said: “I am delighted that Phoenix has been recognised for this award. Our communications team, under Nick Panton’s guidance, has worked hard to drive growth and innovation in a competitive environment. BT’s extensive network capability provides the ideal connectivity platform over which we can deliver the growing range of CloudSure UK services. This enables us to provide secure, agile and high performance business solutions which can flex as our customers continue to grow and ensure that Phoenix is an essential partner in delivering customers’ technology needs. This accolade from BT reinforces the strong relationship we already enjoy and the commitment to deliver further growth over the coming year.”

Martin Clarke, BT General Manager, said "Phoenix's performance has been driven by new business acquired from our competitors and they have more than tripled the value of New Business versus last year. They have a great team of highly skilled people who work very closely with their Partner Manager, Dave Male, and ICT specialist, Ian Roberts. The whole team keeps up to date with the latest developments to ensure they give their customers the best possible service. This is a great stepping stone for Phoenix to continue this into the next year and achieve double digit growth."

In addition to winning this award, Phoenix was also nominated for two other awards, including Overall Partner of the Year, illustrating Phoenix’s strong reputation as a partner within BT.
