Accedian Networks is pleased to announce that KVH Co Ltd., Asia’s leading Information Delivery Platform, has selected Accedian solutions to assure performance of its next generation Ethernet business services platform (etherXEN), used by enterprises worldwide for inter-site, cloud and data center connectivity.

With Accedian’s network performance assurance solutions, KVH can quickly launch new services over its global footprint while assuring QoS, including low-latency, high availability connectivity to data centers running critical transactional, database and virtual computing applications. Accedian’ micro-shaping technology, with 1 ppm bandwidth optimization, permits burstable services without impacting latency.

In addition to bandwidth optimization, the solution automates service activation testing, H-QoS enforcement and standards-based+ performance monitoring using Accedian’s programmable GT & LT network performance elements. This allows KVH to offer tailored services with exceptional reliability while integrating the open, standards-based solution with existing management systems.

“As an organization that is committed to continuously delivering innovative network infrastructure solutions, we look for products that provide service agility and high performance for our business services customers,” said Yoshiyuki Hamada, Vice President, Systems and Technology, KVH. “With SLA management and performance reporting continuing to be an important factor in our business, we selected the Accedian solution to ensure that our metro and Global Ethernet services are impeccably monitored and maintained.”

“Japan is one of the most exciting and demanding markets in the world,” said Patrick Ostiguy, President & CEO of Accedian Networks. “Working with KVH creates an ongoing opportunity for Accedian to expand our business in the APAC region with our performance assurance solutions, while working closely with KVH, who like us, are committed to driving innovation in the industry with the best possible technology.”
