CMS Distribution and SolarWinds extend distribution agreement to Europe

SolarWinds has announced a partnership with CMS Distribution, a leader in value-added product distribution, to bring SolarWinds(R) IT management products to customers in the UK and Ireland. This expanded support is the result of a strategic partnership between the two companies established earlier this year.

CMS is the UK and Ireland's largest, independent value-added distributor following its acquisition of Interactive Ideas, a London-based enterprise software distributor. CMS has four locations in the UK and Ireland, and employs over 200 people.

"We are delighted to distribute SolarWinds in Ireland and are excited by the opportunity of partnering with a business recently named by Forbes as one of the '20 Top Names in Tech.' SolarWinds has excellent products, strong end-user engagement and provides a compelling proposition for our reseller network," said Michael Callaghan, managing director Ireland, CMS Distribution. "We'll be looking to support SolarWinds and our resellers in developing new opportunities together through a combination of product management, pre-sales and marketing campaign support."

"We are very pleased to partner with CMS Distribution to offer our enterprise-class software, including our award-winning SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, to IT Professionals in the UK and Ireland," said Peter O'Connor, vice president of sales, EMEA, SolarWinds. "We're excited about CMS' experience and relationships in the region, and we believe they will help us reach a wider audience of potential users and develop a dynamic set of channel partners who can promote and deliver SolarWinds' products to their customers. The UK and Ireland are key markets in Europe and as our product portfolio grows to cover networking, systems and applications, security, virtualisation and storage, and database management -- we continue to broaden our partner base."

CMS covers the full range of SolarWinds IT management products, enables channel partners through the provision of highly efficient logistics, in-depth product knowledge and programmes, and supports key partners with marketing, pre-sales and professional services.
