Volta’s Great Sutton Street Data Centre awarded ISO 14644-8 Accreditation

Volta says that its Great Sutton Street (GSS) facility achieved a further accreditation: ISO 14644-1 to a Class 8 standard, which is the international standard for clean rooms, clean zones and controlled environments.

Volta’s commitment to obtaining and maintaining the facility to the highest standards in the industry has been demonstrated once again by this accreditation; a dust free environment is critical to providing our customers with the level of service they should expect.

Volta GSS, the company’s first high specification data centre, has to date achieved ISO accreditations for quality, environment, health & safety and management systems: ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 and PAS 99:2012. The ISO accreditations have been awarded by the Direct Assessment Services (DAS) on behalf of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), which is the sole national accreditation body recognised by the British government to access the competence of organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection, and calibration services.
