Showcase reception for Stockholm data centre, hosts industry’s finest

DigiPlex hosted a reception recently to showcase their newest site which is situated outside Stockholm in Upplands, Vasby, between the city and its international airport, Arlanda. It is DigiPlex’s sixth data centre and, once the retrofit is complete it will provide over 6,000m2 of technical data centre space for bespoke solutions. The reception which was hosted inside a giant igloo included a DJ, ice bar and ice sculptors representing DigiPlex’s use of cooler climates to reduce power consumption and provide more efficient cooling.

The event was very well attended with guests travelling in from all over Europe and from a variety of major industries. The guests were given a tour of the building to learn more about security, data hall layouts, DigiPlex’s De Ox fire protection system and its award winning Air2Air cooling.

Greg McCulloch, COO of DigiPlex commented. “The reception was a great success and drew together people from across a wide range of industries and from all over Europe. It was a great opportunity to get everyone together for an evening of entertainment and networking and to also showcase our new facility. Once completed the data centre will deliver a minimum of 20MW of power with the built in modules offering both retail and wholesale space. Its close proximity to Stockholm means it will provide clients with easy, convenient and high speed network connectivity.”
