MTI, the global solutions and services provider, announces a deal to provide IT security for Mondrian Investment Partners’ global operations. The deal follows a four-year relationship between the two companies, during which MTI has reduced 80 regional servers to just two sets of virtual servers, saving room and resources and, most importantly, reducing the complexity of Mondrian’s server farm.
Under the new agreement MTI will be responsible for providing and supporting security solutions for Mondrian, the international money manager. Mondrian’s IT department will now have a single point of contact and a more focused work-stream for security management.
Paul Fournel, CTO of Mondrian, said: “A great deal of trust has built up over the years between MTI and Mondrian and this evolution is a logical step in that partnership. In addition to giving me peace of mind, sharing the management of our IT security requirements with MTI will allow my team to adopt a much more proactive rather than reactive approach. The project has been delivered on time and on budget and simplifies our security management.
“Positioning certain infrastructure services in one place, with one throat to choke gives us a huge advantage. It is not only easier to manage but it allows my team to focus on their prime objective, that of developing and supporting investment applications. The quality of MTI’s people and the single sourced solution means that I know we are in good hands.”
Keith Clark, CEO of MTI said: “Technology should be an enabler, not a barrier to innovation. I am proud of the way we have been able to support Mondrian in dramatically reducing its requirements for space and energy consumption, and also the fact that we have been entrusted with the security of its global IT operations. This is a great endorsement for the quality of our team and our solutions and I believe will bring great benefits to Mondrian’s business now and in the future.”
