CommVault has announced its service provider customer HOSTING, a leading provider of enterprise-class managed cloud services, is using Simpana® software as the foundation for HOSTING’s Enterprise Backup solution.

HOSTING’s Enterprise Backup solution provides local, remote, and cloud backup to one of its six geographically dispersed data centers. Client organizations can recover data quickly and efficiently to help ensure business continuity in the event of data loss or disaster. A new, intuitive customer portal based on the Simpana software platform further improves HOSTING clients’ user experiences through self-service restores and in-depth reporting. CommVault’s Simpana platform provides the data protection, recoverability and pay-as-you-go licensing options required for HOSTING to deliver the high availability and access necessary for business-critical applications and to meet customer service level requirements.

“We host and deliver the key applications that run our clients’ businesses, so the ability to effectively protect, manage, and ensure client access to their data is a key competitive differentiator,” said Darrell Hyde, chief technology officer, HOSTING. “Leveraging the single software platform approach, enablement, and consultative engagement model CommVault provides will further enhance our Enterprise Backup solution.”

CommVault continues to address growing customer demand for cloud services through expanded collaboration and technology integration with service provider partners such as HOSTING. CommVault Simpana software provides a single platform approach that can support service offerings across backup, archive, disaster recovery and search. Companies such as HOSTING leverage API integrations to uniquely deliver fully web-based self-service portals, workflow automation, efficient data movement, and rapid protection of virtual workloads for superior client experiences. Additionally, CommVault investments in its Cloud Solutions Group enable service providers to reduce the time, costs, and risks of deploying new cloud solutions.

“As a customer-focused organization, HOSTING has a culture and proven track record of doing whatever it takes to meet and exceed their clients’ expectations. HOSTING has made it easy for customers to holistically manage and access their data, giving them the confidence that their business-critical information is in the right hands,” said Paul McClure, chief technologist, global cloud solutions group, CommVault. “The scalability, security, automation and reporting features in Simpana software make it possible for cloud providers like HOSTING to build the most efficient cloud infrastructures and deliver superior services to their clients.”
