GreenQloud, the first Truly Green™ cloud solutions company, has announced the appointment of Jón Thorgrímur Stefánsson to Chief Executive Officer of its Europe operations. Bala Kamallakharan, who previously held the global CEO position, was appointed to the Board of Directors, effective immediately.

GreenQloud eliminates the three barriers to cleaner cloud practices: cost, lack of renewable energy, automation and migration hurdles. Powering GreenQloud on renewable energy in cool climates cuts costs for customers and enables businesses to easily manage and monitor data in the cloud, without further compounding the CO2 emissions crisis.

"I joined GreenQloud with the objective of leading the company towards global growth, building a team culture that rivals the best in the world and sourcing new funding opportunities. Having successfully completed these goals, the natural next step for me is to guide the team from the Board level," says Bala Kamallakharan.
“Bala’s leadership since 2012 has delivered impressive results and created a legacy of a world class team culture. The Board is thrilled about working more closely with Bala in his new role,” says Chairman of the Board, Gudmundur Ingi Jonsson.

“We’re also extremely excited about announcing the appointment of Jón Thorgrímur Stefánsson as CEO of GreenQloud’s Europe operations. Experienced in working in large, highly virtualized and diverse computing environments, Jónsi will help position GreenQloud for greater growth within the European market and the global Information Communications Technology industry.”
