Tintri has announced the appointment of Sally Reade as Channel Manager of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Reade is tasked with developing Tintri’s partner community across the region into a robust and prosperous route to market.

Reade has more than 15 years experience of working in the EMEA technology channel and has a flair for increasing channel sales across Europe. Prior to her appointment at Tintri, Reade was responsible for driving European channel sales at Whiptail. She has also worked at EMC, Veeam and was one of the earliest members of the VMware EMEA team. As such she has a proven track record for launching and managing successful channel programmes.

Tintri’s solutions are at the leading edge of storage for virtualisation and cloud environments and were designed from the ground up. Reade has been appointed to develop a network of complementary value added resellers (VARs) and distributors across EMEA. The partnerships will maintain Tintri’s growth strategy and support its partners both commercially and technically.

Reade said: “Today’s customers have very different storage requirements than they did five years ago. With tier 1 enterprise apps and databases being increasingly virtualised, customers are demanding intelligent, high performance storage, that’s simple to manage and cost effective. We are looking for a selective group of quality channel partners throughout EMEA that will grow with Tintri and specialise in its application-aware solutions. We operate 100 percent through the channel so it’s very important for us to develop strong working relationships with our partners and help their customers to achieve strategic goals while saving on capital expenditure.”

Doug Rich, Vice President EMEA, Tintri, said: “Reade is highly experienced when it comes to channel sales and we are confident in her ability to drive Tintri’s growth throughout all EMEA regions. We realise that many partners are increasing their product portfolios to meet customer requirements, and we are seeing many traditional software partners looking to include a storage offering. These partners want to sell solutions, not just individual products, and they look for technologies that are impactful, differentiated and easy to implement and manage. Reade is now tasked with attracting new partners who can see that out partner programme enables them to achieve healthy margins.”
