Barracuda NG Firewall now available on Windows Azure

Barracuda Networks, Inc. has announced that the Barracuda NG Firewall is now available on the Windows Azure cloud platform, joining the Barracuda Web Application Firewall.

The Barracuda Web Application Firewall has gained market traction in helping secure applications hosted in Windows Azure. With the Barracuda NG Firewall now available, Barracuda offers Windows Azure customers the following:

· Barracuda NG Firewall:Provides next generation firewalling and high speed (>1 Gbps) site-to-site secure remote access from on-premises networks to Windows Azure or Vnets within Windows Azure. It enables organisations to deploy sophisticated multi-zone network architecture, and its centralised management capabilities ensure scalable and fault tolerant network infrastructure without the management overhead.
· Barracuda Web Application Firewall:A fully integrated Web Application Firewall with Windows Azure that can dynamically scale to meet application performance and workload requirements. With predefined security templates for web applications and third-party packaged applications like Microsoft SharePoint, companies of all sizes can enjoy application security with no need to learn, configure, and manage complex technology.
