Inktank has launched Inktank University, a practical training program designed to meet the education needs of Inktank customers and the Ceph community. The courses, offered both virtually and in-person, allow anyone to learn the implementation, operation and maintenance of Ceph systems in an instructor-led classroom setting.

“Inktank University is a response to the overwhelming demand for knowledge about Ceph, and only the Inktank team has the unique expertise required to develop and deliver it,” said Bryan Bogensberger, CEO of Inktank. “Inktank’s course offering represents our commitment to providing the best possible training for Ceph and we will continue to expand our program in the direction that will best satisfy our customers and the community.”
Through Inktank University, new Ceph users can learn – in as little as one day or a more intensive three-day course – the basics of Ceph, how it can be deployed with OpenStack, and how it can be properly maintained. Whether you’re just starting out installing Ceph or need help tuning or troubleshooting your deployment, there is a training course available for you.

Since originally launching its training program in 2012, Inktank has expanded its course library and added its first virtual course. Inktank University students will leave with a technical understanding of the Ceph distributed storage system and the advantages of Ceph in OpenStack, and will gain hands-on experience implementing Ceph in various use cases. The current curriculum includes:
· CEPH100: Ceph Fundamentals
· CEPH110: Ceph Operations and Tuning
· CEPH120: Ceph and OpenStack
· CEPH130: Ceph – Unified Storage for OpenStack

Inktank also announced today a release upgrade to its subscription offering, Inktank Ceph Enterprise™, which combines the most stable version of Ceph for object and block storage with a suite of support services. The newly launched 1.1 version of the product offers new features for Calamari graphical manager and added support and compatibility for the Red Hat ecosystem.
