Only nine months after launching its French office, and less than a year after hiring its first European Regional Sales Director, Hammer, the leading name in dedicated storage distribution, has announced the opening of its newest office, based in Germany.

Located near Munich, the Germany office joins Hammer’s existing regional offices in Mechelen, Belgium; Paris, France; Brescia, Italy; Hillegom, Netherlands; and Stockholm, Sweden. The staff will focus on building new and existing German and Austrian business and all of the staff have many years experience in the channel, specifically storage distribution.

The distributor’s physical presence in the German market will further support its German and Austrian partners in providing storage products and solutions for the countries’ progressing IT infrastructures, and 80% of Hammer’s vendor portfolio can be sold through the Germany office.
The opening of this office also means that Hammer is now present in the major European countries, says Eddy Bergiers, European Regional Sales Director. “This is the second regional office that has launched since I started at Hammer, and I’m proud of our growth. Our goal is to become, as in the other European countries where we have offices, the leading player in the distribution of storage and server solutions. We believe there are huge opportunities in this new territory and with our experienced team in place I’m convinced that we will have no problem in emulating our success in this region.”

Hammer’s international success was acknowledged 18 months ago, when it ranked in the top 200 UK companies with the largest international growth. It has also expanded its popular UK event, Storage Focus, to locations in Europe – Belgium, Netherlands and Nordics regions.

James Ward, Managing Director at Hammer says: “To be expanding our physical presence into two countries in the space of nine months further demonstrates Hammer’s commitment to growing and supporting our European business, and our recognition of the part local offices play in our continuing objective to be the strongest value-add distributor in Europe. We are looking forward to capitalizing on the opportunities which the German market presents, which we will embrace with the superior storage tool kit which Hammer has honed for over 20 years.”

“We look forward to working closely with our new and existing German customers, and bringing them Hammer’s renowned storage expertise, flexible service and value-add partnership approach.”
