Asia Pacific acquisition

World leader in specialised loadbank manufacturing and testing solutions, Crestchic has welcomed its Asia-Pacific equivalent into the brand family following parent company Northbridge Industrial Services plc’s investment into Crestchic (Asia Pacific) PTE Ltd (“CAP”).

Northbridge Asia-Pacific, the wholly owned subsidiary of Northbridge Industrial Services plc, acquired the company as part of its overall strategy to re-unify the Crestchic brand globally within the group.

The announcement comes as Crestchic celebrates its 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades Crestchic has risen from humble beginnings in Burton-upon Trent, UK, to become an international leader in its field. The vast experience the company has amassed over the years has catapulted it to the forefront of loadbank provision.

Commenting on the acquisition, Paul Brickman of Crestchic said: “We are delighted to see Crestchic Asia Pacific in the family as it represents a further step in the strategic growth and development of the brand. We have been hoping to align with CAP for a considerable time and the outcome is an important development, significantly increasing our presence in the all-important Asia Pacific market.”

The UK company has recently grieved the loss of its founder, Jim Gould who passed away following an illness. Paul Brickman speaks in his memory: “Jim was truly instrumental in the fruition of this acquisition before his passing, and was thrilled to see the company welcomed into the family. Crestchic will now go from strength to strength in order to uphold a powerful legacy of Jim, who is remembered as an inspirational leader and character.”

Crestchic loadbanks are primarily sold and rented to customers operating in the oil and gas, marine, data centre and power generation sectors. Principally, they are used for testing electrical power output on diesel generators, gas turbines and UPS systems, whilst commissioning and maintenance work is carried out.
