Resellers and vendors meet at Datacentre Distribution launch

Datacentre Distribution has welcomed over 40 customers to a special event to celebrate its official launch this month.

IT resellers and vendors from across Europe attended the event at City Golf in central London to hear more about Gamma Global’s dedicated distribution division, Datacentre Distribution.

Explains Craig Newell, Business Development Manager for Datacentre Distribution: “We’re all about providing IT resellers with a complete datacentre infrastructure solution from one dedicated distribution partner. For example, as Emerson Network Power deployment specialists, we are able to deploy an entire datacentre so we’re essentially a one-stop shop for our customers.

“Establishing Datacentre Distribution was a natural step for Gamma whose core business has been independent distribution for over 20 years. In the long term we intend to register and trade Datacentre Distribution as a separate entity with its own warehousing facility and, eventually, its own location.
“It was great to see so many new and old faces at the event and discuss exactly how our pre- and post-sale and technically trained team can support them to develop their end user clients. From reseller marketing support and business planning to end user lead generation campaigns, we are committed to delivering value added solutions.”

Concludes Craig: “We’re expecting a turnover of £5 million this year with sales from Emerson Network Power, newly partnered Server Technology, Austin Hughes, Rittal and Prism products. It’s our aim to double this revenue to £10 million by 2016.

“We’re also currently meeting with two additional vendors who will complement our datacentre-centric portfolio and look forward to announcing further details later this year.”
